The May 2011 meeting will be held on Monday, May 9th from 6pm – 8pm at TechColumbus.
What’s New in Windows Azure
Windows Azure is a powerful platform. It is also a rapidly changing platform. Windows Azure has “grown up” a lot since its initial debut at PDC08. In many ways, the pace of change in this young, evolving platform is what makes the platform so compelling. As a service, Microsoft is able to release new features and evolve the platform on a more frequent pace than typical shrink wrap software. In this session we’ll take a lap around many of the exciting new features of the Windows Azure platform. We’ll explore functionality such as Windows Azure AppFabric Caching Service, Access Control Services, Windows Azure Traffic Manager, VM Role, and Windows Azure Connect. Afterwards you’ll be ready to run full steam ahead with the powerful new features of the Windows Azure platform.

He gets very “geeked up” about any new technology, tool, or technique that makes his development life easier. Michael spends most of his spare time reading technology blogs and exploring new development technologies. He is also an avid golfer and attempts to be good at shooters on the Xbox 360. Previous speaking engagements include Central Ohio Day of .NET, Central Ohio .NET Developers Group, Cloud Connections, and multiple Windows Azure Boot Camp events.
