Topic: PHP Applications in Windows Azure

Abstract: The first thing that people think when they hear Windows Azure is Windows only.  I believe that Windows Azure is not only a strong platform for hosting Windows Applications but also Open Source applications like those built with PHP.  We will talk about the available tools for developing PHP applications in the cloud.  We will then take a look at a very simple PHP application and show how to customize it for use in Azure for both SQL Azure and Azure Tables.  If we have time we will even touch on Blobs and Queues

Update (7/12/2011): Larry has posted his presentation material to his blog.  Check it out!

Speaker: Larry Beall is a Senior Developer & Lead.  During his 10+ years of developing web applications he has worked with CGI, ASP.NET and Ruby.  His secret love though is for developing applications with PHP.  He started working with Windows Azure while it was still in CTP and has been hooked ever since.
