August Meeting – What’s New and Lessons Learned in Amazon AWS

Amazon AWS


Amazon Web Services is constantly evolving with new services and adding new functionality to existing services.  We will take a look at some of the recent offerings from Amazon such as ElastiCache and CloudSearch.  We will also discuss some lessons learned from the recent outage at Amazon East.


David Landreman is the Web IT Manager for The Columbus Dispatch.  David has technical experience in both the higher education and news media sectors.  Originally starting with traditional desktop application development David has found a passion in following the latest technologies driving the web forward.  David served in the role of Senior Software Engineer as the Columbus Dispatch migrated to the cloud helping drive many design decisions through the process.  Follow David @GraphIt2000.
